I am an avid lotion user, and also an organic purist. I need to keep my dry skin from cracking, especially because I am out in the sun a lot! As a runner, I've always got legs and arms that are exposed. I need a lotion that nourishes dry skin without harsh chemicals. I've tried different lotions, but I think Island Organics is the only one that smells great, feels good, and is made with pure organic ingredients. Everything we put on our skin gets absorbed into our bodies, so I know that Island Organics is safe for me to use. Not only that but the scents are amazing. I use Mangosteen and Tahitian Vanilla and both smell so good! They also work great if I've had too much sun. They keep my skin soft without any greasy feeling, plus a little goes a long way! I think it's the combination of pomegranate butter, aloe, and coconut oil that feels so nice, but it's the papaya and guava extracts that work so good! Now that I've been introduced to Island Organics I won't use anything else.

I and my daughter went on our annual father/daughter backpacking trip before she was to travel to South America on a student exchange program. This year it was high into California’s Sierras for five days during August 2009. Hiking at 11,000 feet, as we learned, where the air is thin, brings along special risks.
“Because it was slightly overcast, thoughts of using sun block were all but forgotten for the first day or so. Our concerns were entirely on avoiding altitude sickness, which was successfully done, by the way. However we were painfully burned by the end of the first 24-hours. Unfortunately, nothing we had carried in provided any real comfort. Four long days later, once back in the car we remembered we had stashed all three of Island Organics after-sun skin care products in the trunk.
